Perform manual installation for desktop and mobile clients:
Windows / Windows Store

Installing View Horizon Client is quite straight forward. After downloading correct installation file 32 or 64bit right-click and choose Run As Administrator, click next to begin. At next step accept License Agreement. Next select which IP protocol we will like to use to communicate for all connection, we can choose IPv4 or IPv6. Next we can specify what features we want to install – USB redirection and Log in as current user. Next we can specify default Connection Server or leave empty to add later. If we choose to install SSO feature we will be able to set option for Log in as current user to set as default and to show/hide in option menu. Specify if and where to show View Horizon Client icon and finally click Install.

Linux

Installation View Client on Linux OS is even more straight forward. After downloading correct version which depend of what version, for example Horizon Client 4.0 supports the following operating systems.
          Ubuntu 12.04, 14.04
          Ubuntu x64 12.04, 14.04
          Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.7, 7.2
          SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) 11 SP4
          CentOS 6.7

Open Terminal window change directory to location contain installation file and run installer using one of below command

Follow the prompt till finish and specify if we want to run compatibility scan at the end.

Chrome OS, iOS, Android

To install Client on mobile devices open respective App Store and search for View Horizon Client to download and install.

Configure silent installation options for desktop clients

We can install View Client using silent mode on users Desktop PC. From CMD change directory to location of the installation file and run below example command

VMware-Horizon-Client-x86-y.y.y-xxxxxx.exe /s /v”/qn ADDLOCAL=Core,USB,TSSO”

Configure HTML Access for end users

Horizon connection Web access page, can be configured to hide/show icon for downloading View Horizon Client. As well we can change the default redirection to VMware website to file share location. To do that we need to modify configuration file located in C:\ProgramData\VMware\VDM\portal\portal-links-html-access.properties. Open this file in Notepad and modify required settings.
